Cargill capesize fixture at low $1,250 per day

US-BASED commodities multinational Cargill has chartered a capesize vessel for $1,250 per day, writes Liz McCarthy.

The rate is one of the lowest Cargill has paid for a capesize vessel in the last 10 years.

The Baltic Exchange reported that Cargill fixed the 171,218 dwt, 2003-built CIC Elli S from the Chinese port of Zhanjiang around November 27-...
