Australia – a major producer and exporter of dry bulk commodities – might have seen its exports fall in value, but on volume, both production and trade are expected to stick to their upward path. That’s the assessment coming from Australian forecaster Abare which says that despite the battering from softer contract pricing for iron ore and coal and a strident domestic currency, its view remains upbeat as the predicted upswing takes hold.
